Welcome to the
Center for Community Engagement

Our mission is connecting, serving, and learning.  We coordinate and support opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to learn and serve with community partners throughout the Concho Valley and beyond.  We strongly affirm that our mission contributes to ASU’s Mission.

Our vision is for ASU and the community we serve to become a more vibrant learning community; or in other words, a community of responsible citizens who contribute to one another’s learning and well-being.

We value learning, excellence, transformation, integrity, engagement, innovation, diversity, and collegiality.  These are ASU’s values and we willingly use them to guide our efforts.

The Center for Community Engagement is responsible for the successful implementation of CONNECT! Campus and Community: ASU’s plan to enhance student learning through community engagement.

Congratulations to the following CONNECT! Faculty Fellows who were nominees for the 2013-14 Gary and Pat Rodgers Award: Dr. Christine Purkiss, Dr. Susana Badiola, and Dr. Kristi Cordell-McNulty.

We are honored to announce that Dr. Christine Purkiss received the Distinguished Faculty Award.
