Music: Night of Brass

November 8 2012 7:30pm

Mayer Administration Building, University Auditorium

The Angelo State University Brass Choir performs masterwork literature from the 16th through the 20th Centuries.

Directed by Dr. Ed Surface, the brass choir is an active component of the music program in terms of teaching, performing, and guest artists.

ASU students have been involved with such artists as St Louis Brass, Boston Brass, Synergy Brass, The Trombones de Costa Rica, as well as brass players from symphony orchestras of Dallas, Houston, Ft. Worth, San Antonio, and Philadelphia.

Many of today’s top jazz performers have worked with our students. From Baroque trumpet to jazz trombone they cover the gamut of brass performance.
