Hispanic Heritage Celebration: Cuba
11:30am - 1:00pm CDT September 18, 2013
Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
This year the ASU Multicultural Center will be highlighting Cuba during National Hispanic Heritage Month. Cuba is the largest island in the Caribbean, and with over 11 million people, it is also the second most populous. Its people, culture, and customs draw from diverse sources and have influence on many other cultures including the United States. Join us September 18th from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm in the MC/UC Lobby to celebrate the Cuban culture with food, educational activities, music and more.
*All celebrations hosted by the Multicultural Center are planned with the purpose of providing an enriching educational experience in an entertaining environment.
