UCPC: Crossroads Live featuring Rhett Price
We will present contemporary violinist Rhett Price at a free Crossroads Live performance at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, in the lobby of the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.
A native of Midland, Price interprets pop and rock songs through his violin, giving hits such as Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out of Heaven,” Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” and Katy Perry’s “Roar” a unique spin. He launched his music career on the subway platforms of Boston while attending the Berklee College of Music and posting YouTube videos online. Price is working on his first album, funded by nearly $15,000 raised on the Kickstarter fundraising website. He continues to build his audience by touring college campuses from Boston to Alabama and Florida to Texas.
