Gallery to Feature Alum’s Art

Angelo State University presents an exhibit of complex, expressionistic artworks by alum Christopher Voss in the Gallery 193 of the Carr Education-Fine Arts Building, 2602 Dena Drive.
The exhibit, titled “Fragments and Causality,” will be housed in the EFA Building’s Gallery 193 and will be open for free public viewing from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through Friday, Sept. 12. Voss will present a lecture on his work from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, in room 101 of the EFA Building. The lecture is free and open to the public but seating is limited.
A native of Midland, Voss earned a bachelor’s degree in art with teaching certification from Angelo State and taught art in the San Angelo Independent School District before going back to school. He earned a Master in Fine Arts at Texas Tech University, where he also became an art instructor of record and served as the M.F.A. student coordinator. His first solo exhibit was in 2003 at Texas A&M University. Voss has since exhibited in state and national group and solo exhibitions.
