Theatre: “The Crucible”

University Theatre presents “The Crucible” by Arthur Miller, winner of the 1953 Tony Award for Best Play, at 8 p.m. Friday, May 6, in the Modular Theatre, Carr Education-Fine Arts Building, 2602 Dena Drive..

Directed by Dr. William Doll, director of ASU’s University Theatre, this drama is about the Puritan purge of witches in old Salem, Mass. This is both a gripping historical play and a timely parable of contemporary society.

Performances will be at 8 p.m. April 28-30 and May 5-7, with a matinee at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 1. Tickets are $8 for the general public, $4 for non-ASU students and $3 for ASU students. Admission is free for Arts at ASU subscribers and ASU activity card holders.
