Club Sports Field Day 2017

ASU Club Sports Field Day is a FREE EVENT and a throwback to grade school, built with adults in mind. We’ve got all the classic events like tug of war, relay races, obstacle courses, etc. - plus some crazy new games and some surprises throughout the day. Teams will earn points in each event to add up to your total for the day.

Will your team have what it takes to take home the King of the Field title? Grab some friends, start your team (10 or more people), and gear up for the competition of the year!

This event is brought to you by Angelo State University’s Club Sports and Multicultural and Student Activities.

Event details

Day of Check In

Teams need to visit the registration check-in tent on the campus green to sign release forms and pick up participant wristbands (those without a wristband will not be allowed to participate.) Check-in will begin at 2:00 pm, and all teams must be checked in by 3:00pm

Food & Beverage

All teams are allowed and encouraged to bring tents, tables, etc. and set up camp on the Campus Green in designated areas. BBQing, Food, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks will be allowed at your teams expense and trash cans will be available in certain locations of the event.

The Games

This year’s event will feature some Field Day classics, as well as a variety of new games created by the Club Sports Field Day Council.

Each game station will have a copy of the rules and Game Official to explain those rules, participation requirements, and to take your score. 

What to Wear

It’s almost summer, so it’s going to be hot out! Sunscreen, Sneakers (no cleats allowed), Shorts & T-shirts/Tanks are recommended. Also, please be prepared to get a little wet. Team costumes are strongly encouraged! Don’t forget we are awarding prizes for Team Spirit/Best Costumes.

Prizes and awards

  • King of the Field: The team with the most overall points at the end of the day will take home the King of the Field title and trophy which will be displayed in the UC, have their photo included on the ASU Website, and will have bragging rights for the year!

  • Top Club Sport Team: The club sport with the most points at the end of the day will have their name placed on the coveted Club Sports field day trophy which displays year round in the Ben Kelley CHP.

  • Top Greek Chapter: The top Greek organization with the most points at the end of the day will earn points towards Greek Week!

  • Team Spirit – The team that is the most spirited with the best costumes will receive the Team Spirit award! This award will be given to the team voted most spirited by the event volunteers and staff. Prizes include swag bags, and other prizes!
