Performances will be at 8 p.m. each night May 4-6. Tickets are $10 for the general public, $5 for non-ASU students, and free for ASU students, Arts at ASU subscribers and ASU Activity Card holders. The Modular Theatre is located in the Carr Education-Fine Arts (EFA) Building, 2602 Dena Drive.

“Doubt: A Parable” is a brilliant and powerful drama set in 1964. Sister Aloysius Beauvier, the principal at St. Nicholas Church School in the Bronx, N.Y., takes matters into her own hands when she suspects the young parish priest, Father Brendan Flynn, of improper relations with one of the male students. This gripping story of suspicion cast on a priest’s behavior is less about scandal than about fascinatingly nuanced questions of moral certainty. Written by John Patrick Shanley, the play won the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and Tony Award for Best Play. It was later adapted into the 2008 movie “Doubt” that starred Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman and was nominated for multiple Academy Awards.

Tickets go on sale for Arts at ASU subscribers on Thursday, May 20, at the ASU box office in the EFA Building. Ticket sales open to the general public on April 24. The box office is open 2-6 p.m. weekdays. For reservations and/or ticket information, call 325-942-2000.
