Angelo State University will host its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 28, in the Memorial Oak Grove next to the Mayer Administration Building, 2601 W. Ave. N.

Holiday activities will begin at 5 p.m. with the official tree lighting at 6:30 p.m. All the festivities are open free to the public. 

In addition to the tree lighting, activities will include a synthetic ice skating rink, a bounce house, Christmas ornament, greeting card and cookie decorating stations, and photo opportunities with ASU mascots Roscoe and Bella in an inflatable snow globe or life-sized greeting card. The ASU Symphony Orchestra will play a special holiday pops concert, and free refreshments will be available, including cookies, pan dulce, hot chocolate and hot cider. 

ASU’s 15-foot Christmas tree will remain on display throughout the holiday season. 

ASU organizations involved in hosting the festivities include Student Life, the University Center Program Council, Student Government Association, Registered Student Organizations, Greek Life, Baptist Student Ministry, Rams for Christ, ROTC Detachment 847 and Association of Mexican-American Students.
