The ASU Planetarium will present a free public viewing of the new astronomy show, “2017 Eclipse Across America,” on Thursday, June 22, in the Vincent Nursing-Physical Science Building, 2333 Vanderventer St.
The show will run at 7 p.m. on June 22, July 20 and Aug. 17, and the viewings are open free to the public. The viewings are being presented as preview events for the upcoming solar eclipse on Aug. 21.
“2017 Eclipse Across America” was created by the Jenks Planetarium in Jenks, Okla., and is narrated by four students from the Jenks Public School District. It is designed to provide all the information needed to prepare to view the Aug. 21 total solar eclipse, as well as entertain with ancient eclipse lore that has been handed down through the ages.
While there is no admission fee for the public viewings, donations will be accepted and any money received will go toward future ASU Planetarium shows.
