Free
(Donations will be accepted.)
The ASU Planetarium will present a series of free public viewings of the new astronomy show, “2017 Eclipse Across America,” on Thursday, Aug. 17, in the Vincent Nursing-Physical Science Building, 2333 Vanderventer St.

The viewings will begin at 6 p.m. and are open free to the public. Due to the popularity of the show, a new viewing will start every hour on the hour until all attendees have been accommodated, and attendees are encouraged to show up early to avoid long wait times. The viewings are being presented as a preview event for the upcoming solar eclipse on Aug. 21.

“2017 Eclipse Across America” was created by the Jenks Planetarium in Jenks, Okla., and is narrated by four students from the Jenks Public School District. It is designed to provide all the information needed to prepare to view the Aug. 21 total solar eclipse, as well as entertain with ancient eclipse lore that has been handed down through the ages.

While there is no admission fee for the public viewings, donations will be accepted and any money received will go toward future ASU Planetarium shows.
