ASU Choir/OMT Concert: “The French Connection”
ASU’s Chamber Choir and Opera-Music Theatre Workshop will present a free public concert performance on Monday, April 30, at 7:30 p.m. in the Cactus Hotel, 36 E. Twohig Ave. in downtown San Angelo.
Titled “The French Connection,” the performance will feature scenes and music from “Gigi,” “Victor/Victoria” and “Les Misérables,” along with French choral music by Gabriel Fauré, Orlando di Lasso, Reynaldo Hahn and Francis Poulenc, for an evening of sophistication, comedy, drama and romance.
Guest performers will include Dr. Scott Raines, ASU voice professor, and ASU alumni Tara Trowbridge and Jared Capps.
The concert performance will be directed by Dr. Pamela Lee, ASU director of choral activities; and ASU alumna Patti Wetzel, retired SAISD choral director.
