Fall 2012 Fitness Challenge

- Form a team in your ASU department. You can only have one team per department (examples: Special Projects Team, Travel Team, English and Modern Language Team, History Team, Security Studies and Criminal Justice Team, etc). For students, you can choose to form a team with the department that provides your major or, if you are a student worker, you can participate in the department where you work. Members from the community can form a “Community Team.” For ASU teams, teams can be made up of only students, only employees, or a mix.
- Count the number of calories you burn while exercising using our calculator and send them to your team captain at the end of each week.
- Team captains will average your team’s calories and email that average to firstname.lastname@example.org at the end of each week.
Prizes for this fall’s Challenge are TBA. However, we are considering and working towards prizes like iPods (or other fitness promoting devices), gift certificates to fitness and wellness businesses, and memberships to fitness centers in town.
Want to increase your calorie totals fast? As an individual, you can participate in any number of our bonus activities to increase your calories burned total.
At the beginning of each week, we’ll send out an email that tells you about the bonus activity for that week.
For each bonus activity you participate in, you can add 200 calories to the number of calories you burned for that activity.
