Qualifications/Duties

Seeking organized, creative and self-motivated individual to help plan, coordinate and implement programming for Registered Student Organizations (RSO). Position requires an individual with attention to detail, strong communication skills and computer skills. Individual must be proficient in all Microsoft programs; have ability to multi-task and work independently or within a group; and to complete tasks with little supervision and manage time effectively. Individual should display professionalism in all work duties and possess excellent customer service skills.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:  

  • Assist in facilitating training for SOLF, President’s Round Tables, and/or SOAC
  • Work with RSO leaders to develop training and programming
  • Attend weekly meetings for the Student Organization Advisory Council (SOAC) and Multicultural Advisory Council (MAC)
  • Help develop recruitment and retention plans to increase RSO membership on campus
  • Help manage all social media pages for RSO and MSAP
  • Assist with web pages for RSO using LiveWhale
  • Help with event promotions, planning and execution of events for RSO and MSAP events/programs as needed
  • Maintain a calendar of events for RSO events
  • Assist with interviews for SOAC and MAC
  • Take pictures at events/programs
  • Assist with greeting of students, faculty, staff, families and community customers by phone or in person
  • Assist with data collection and record of participation numbers

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to operate personal computers using appropriate software such as Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), Banner, LiveWhale and Adobe
  • Ability to organize and complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner with minimal supervision
  • Skilled in oral and written communication
  • Ability to work with faculty, staff, students, and the general public in a professional manner.
  • Skilled in critical thinking to anticipate potential problems or issues
  • Ability to demonstrate enthusiasm, competence, and resourcefulness
  • Ability to perform effectively in stressful situations

 

 

Expectations:

  • Able to work 15-17.5 hours per week.
  • Provide leadership to RSOs including training and supervision
  • Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA

 

Days/Times

Flexible around class schedule, expected to work 15-17.5 hours per week. Will require some evening and weekend duties for events.

 

Salary

$13.50/hr.
