In 1976\, he produced his first public sculpture\, a 14-foot Plexiglas-and-steel sculpture commissioned for one of San Antonio's downtown parks. Since then\, he has produced artworks that have been showcased in exhibitions throughout Texas\, as well as in Louisiana\, Missouri\, New York\, Washington\, D.C\, Japan\, South Korea and Sweden. \n\n Raised in Austin\, Graeber spent two years at Southwest Texas State University and a brief stint with the facilities and design division of the Texas Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation as a muralist and carpet designer.
