Eric and his wife Robbi had spent most of their adult life operating a very successful local restaurant. Their dream to own it themselves was not to be though. They thought about starting their own restaurant from the ground up, but found it was going to be too expensive.
At this point they were unsure what to do so they met with Advisor Paul Howard of the Angelo State University ∙ Small Business Development Center for assistance. His advice helped them decide to purchase a Dickey’s Barbecue Pit franchise.
San Angelo now has a very successful barbecue franchise and Eric and Robbi have their own small business that helped the local economy by hiring 20 employees.
