The Library shares an informative piece on concerns over who controls information that scholars need.

How much power do for-profit publishers of databases of journal content have over content? And what price should they charge for material that may already be available in the public domain? These questions among others came to the surface when ProQuest briefly canceled the members of the Renaissance Society of America access to the Early English Books database.
