Three Online Graduate Programs Nationally Ranked

Angelo State University has been ranked in the top 10 of the nation’s “Top Online Schools for a Master’s in Psychology” by GradSource.com, an education resource guide that ranks online graduate degree programs in numerous academic disciplines.

ASU’s online graduate psychology program ranked No. 6 out of 90 programs on the GradSource.com list for 2016. Criteria for the rankings included affordability, course scheduling flexibility, program prominence, availability of related degrees and student success. Data for the rankings came from the National Center for Education Statistics’ Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System. ASU scored a 93.3 out of a possible 100. 

The ASU Department of Psychology, Sociology and Social Work offers an online master’s degree in applied psychology, as well as traditional master’s degrees in counseling psychology and industrial-organizational psychology. An online master’s degree in the related field of educational guidance and counseling is offered through the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.  In addition to the top 10 ranking for psychology, GradSource.com also listed ASU among the nation’s “Top Online Schools” for master’s degrees in education and criminal justice. ASU ranked No. 38 out of the 479 schools ranked for education and was No. 40 out of the 114 schools ranked for criminal justice.
