National Rankings for Online Graduate Education Programs

Data for the rankings was collected from U.S. News and World Report, Payscale.com and school websites. Criteria included national reputation, tuition rates, retention rates, graduation rates and return on investment.
ASU’s online Master of Education in guidance and counseling degree program ranked No. 10 on the list of “15 Best Value Online Masters of Education – School Counseling and Psychology.” The ASU program requires 36 credit hours and can be completed totally online in 24 months. It prepares students to seek certification as a Texas school counselor.
ASU’s online M.Ed. in educational administration degree program ranked No. 21 on the list of “25 Best Value Online Masters of Education – Administration and Leadership.” It is a 36-credit-hour program designed for educators seeking careers as principals, superintendents or school administrators. Upon completion of the ASU program, students have the option of taking the TExES exam for the Professional Certificate for Principals in the state of Texas. Students who receive the Professional Certificate for Principals are then eligible for ASU’s Texas Superintendent Certification Plan.
ASU’s Master of Arts in curriculum and instruction degree program ranked No. 22 on the list of “25 Best Value Online Masters of Education – Curriculum and Instruction.” It offers three options to students, depending on their career aspirations: Advanced Instructor, Texas Teacher Certificate and Professional Education.
