ASU Hosting South Korean Teachers

Angelo State University’s College of Education will host four South Korean English teachers while they observe classes in San Angelo public schools beginning Friday, Feb. 3.

Jin Sun Kim, an 11th grade teacher in Jeonju, South Korea; Miyoung Yun, a high school teacher in Daejeen, South Korea; Hyun Jun Oh, an elementary school teacher in Jeonbuk, South Korea; and Jiwon Shin, who teaches 5th and 6th grade in Daegu, South Korea, will visit the local schools through Friday, Feb. 10.  They will also observe education classes at ASU.

Dr. Richard Evans, ASU assistant professor of teacher education, and Wendy Storms, Educator Support Services director for the ASU College of Education, will host the teachers during their stay in San Angelo.  The visitors will also sample and study West Texas culture before leaving for home on Feb. 14.
