ASU Education Honor Society Completes Reading Project

March 11, 2011

Members of Angelo State University’s Mu Gamma chapter of the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society marked the 100th anniversary of the group’s founding by recently completing a project of reading 100 books to 100 elementary classrooms in the San Angelo area.

Mu Gamma members began reading last spring and finished the final chapter of their project on March 4 in a second-grade class taught by Lucy Rodriguez at Reagan Elementary School.

Kalei Floyd, centennial liaison for the education honor society, led the project. After the books were read, they were donated to the classrooms.
