“The SBDC helped me create a business plan to get approved for a small business loan to purchase an existing jewelry company, Sookie Sookie.”

Meagan Smith and her partner opened a women’s boutique, Burlap and Paisley’s.  It has been in operation for two years.  Meagan had an opportunity to purchase a business in addition to her current business.  She had questions concerning the purchase of said business and met with Advisor Paul Howard of the Angelo State University · Small Business Development Center.

Paul suggested Meagan begin work on a business plan.  She completed the narrative portion of the plan and we worked on the financials together.  Meagan was approved for a loan and Sookie Sookie is now open for business.  Meagan said, “The SBDC helped me create a business plan to get approved for a small business loan to purchase an existing jewelry company, Sookie Sookie.”

This new business offers a vast array of custom made jewelry and it enhanced the San Angelo economy by creating three jobs.
