Exporting to Mexico

“Adriana has helped us understand the business plan process and better understand the many questions regarding banking terminology in reference to financing…Thank you!”
Excellent Foods S.A. De C.V. is a Mexican company founded in 2005, whose directors have 18 years’ experience in purchasing, selling, and processing meat products. They market their products throughout the Mexican Republic, with two production plants and four meat markets. Mr. Carbajal currently purchases some of their product from the United States, so he decided to establish similar roots in the USA. It was only logical for them to eliminate the middle man and become their own supplier for their business in Mexico.
Mr. Carbajal visited with advisor Havins at the SBDC to obtain assistance applying for funding to establish his business in San Angelo and Rowena, TX. Advisor Havins has worked with the client in different areas from business plan preparation, lenders relations, understanding of the lending industry in the USA, suppliers, to government programs, and so much more. The process has taken longer than expected, but Mr. Carbajal has made his own investment to start operating the plant in Rowena, TX. This plant is primarily dedicated to produce the entrails for exporting needs of Excellent Foods in Mexico. Mr. Carbajal shared his experience with advisor Havins as follows “Adriana has helped us understand the business plan process and better understand the many questions regarding banking terminology in reference to financing…Thank you!”
Advisor Havins, Mr. Carbajal, and his team meet regularly to make the appropriate changes to the business plan that the company uses to present to different lenders and agencies like the USDA.
