ASU Top 40 in U.S. for Least Student Loan Debt

Angelo State University has been ranked among the nation’s “100 Small Public Colleges & Universities With the Least Student Debt Per Borrower” by LendEDU, a news and information guide dedicated to college student loans and loan refinancing.

ASU Student Affairs and Enrollment Management Logo ASU is ranked No. 39 in the U.S. for least student loan debt per borrower. Also according to LendEDU, only 50 percent of ASU graduates leave school with any student loan debt, which is the ninth-lowest total among the top 100 schools. 

Only colleges and universities with under 800 graduates in the Class of 2016 were eligible for the rankings, which were compiled using data licensed from the most recent Peterson’s Financial Aid Data Set pertaining to the graduating class of 2016. ASU was one of 10 Texas schools to make the LendEDU rankings. 

Additionally, LendEDU has ranked ASU No. 33 among the “Top 50 Colleges With the Least Student Loan Debt Per Borrower in the Southwest.” The rankings list includes schools from Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Arizona that were selected from more than 500 colleges and universities of all sizes located within the region.
