Interstate All Battery

Owner/Managers : Cort D. Myrick
Nature of Business : Retail Services
City : San Angelo
SBDC Business Advisor :  Cindy Hartin

Cort always knew he wanted his own business and to move to San Angelo. Cort used to be a crane inspector in Austin but knew he wanted to raise his family in San Angelo. That’s when he and his dad decided to try a franchise and they decided on Interstate All Battery.

Last fall, Cort started researching the franchise and working on getting his business started in San Angelo, from Austin. He then discovered the SBDC in San Angelo. He and Cindy Hartin started working together so Cort could learn more about the services available to a small business owner in San Angelo and to develop marketing ideas.

Cort’s business is currently commercial business but the franchise will further develop into a retail outlet in San Angelo. Cort is excited about being a part of the San Angelo business community. His goal is to sponsor events in San Angelo and the surrounding communities.

“I have met with Cindy to discuss getting my business started. She has helped me with marketing ideas, as well as research into a variety of business issues. She has been able to help me with information about possible lease locations for my store, as well as options for future hiring decisions once the store is opened.” - Cort Myrick
