ASU to Host Big Brothers Big Sisters ‘Bash’

April 06, 2011

Angelo State University’s Residential Programs Office will host a “Big for a Day Bash” on Saturday, April 9, in support of the San Angelo Big Brothers Big Sisters (Bigs) program.

Activities will run from noon-3 p.m. in ASU’s Centennial Village residence hall, 2675 W. Ave N. The event will bring current Bigs-children matches to campus to show ASU students what the program is like. Unmatched children who might find matches with college students will also attend.

The event will also include food, prizes, movies and games for the 7-14 year-olds in the Bigs program. The movie “Despicable Me” will be shown, children can play with Wii video games and hula-hoops, and they can participate in sack races and other age-appropriate contests.

ASU’s Residential Programs Office and the Bigs student organization are co-sponsoring the event in cooperation with the San Angelo Bigs group.
