Nee and Phan decided it was time to be closer to family and came to San Angelo to open their own small business.  They were familiar with operating a donut shop but knew an advisor like Paul Howard would be an asset on their side if any questions came up.

Nee and Phan decided it was time to be closer to family and came to San Angelo to open their own small business. They were familiar with operating a donut shop but wanted more information about this area so Nee met with Advisor Paul Howard of the Angelo State University • Small Business Development Center.

Paul discussed with Nee some of the agencies she would need to contact and the need to write a business plan. Nee worked hard on her plan and it helped her determine that a donut shop would be successful. Nee says, “Paul had helped us with the business plans and had advised us how to advertising to grow our business.”

Campus Donuts & Kolaches is now open and doing well. The local economy has been helped by this new business that resulted in three employees.
