4 Grad Students Selected as New TAs

Anna Arreola, Jennifer Bradshaw, Alex Hopkins, and Casey Ferguson, English graduate students, have been selected to serve as 2012-2013 teaching assistants.  Each will be teaching 2 sections of English 1301 this fall and next spring.  Dr. Jeffrey Schonberg, Director of First-Year Writing, will serve as their faculty supervisor.

    On Tuesday evening, our local chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the English honor society, inducted fifteen new members.
  • On November 2nd, Dr. Jules Gates, associate professor of English, presented her creative nonfiction poem “From His Coy Mistress” on a panel with two other creative nonfiction writers at the 2015 South Central Modern Language Conference (SCMLA) in Nashville, Tennessee.

  • Dr. Chris Ellery, a professor of English in Angelo State University’s Department of English and Modern Languages, has won first prize in the eighth biennial X.J. Kennedy Award for Creative Nonfiction administered by Rosebud Magazine.
