Graduate assistantships provide graduate students with an excellent opportunity to become a practitioner within the recreation industry. No matter what your final career may be, an assistantship within UREC helps equip the employee with tools and experiences that may be relevant in any industry.
The Graduate Assistant for Outdoor Adventures oversees the staffing for six program areas: Educational Clinics, Outdoor Trips, Indoor Rock Climbing Gym, ASU Lake House Facility, Team Building Experiences, and Equipment Rental. This assistantship will focus on enhancing existing program areas while thinking critically and creatively for new program ideas. After two years, this candidate can expect to walk away with a host of experiences working at the local, regional, and national level within the industry.
Outdoor Adventures is specifically looking for someone with a passion related to outdoor education. You don’t have to be Bear Grylls to make a good candidate for the position. We just ask that you have a thirst for knowledge and experience within the field that is hard to quench.
