Four Faculty Compose New 1302 Textbook

Brandy Ramirez, Katie Jones, Ron Scott, and Alison Evans have created a new English 1302 textbook, Strategies in Academic Discourse for Student Researchers.  This text includes new material on oral presentations, visual communication, and collaborative writing.

    On Tuesday evening, our local chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the English honor society, inducted fifteen new members.
  • On November 2nd, Dr. Jules Gates, associate professor of English, presented her creative nonfiction poem “From His Coy Mistress” on a panel with two other creative nonfiction writers at the 2015 South Central Modern Language Conference (SCMLA) in Nashville, Tennessee.

  • Dr. Chris Ellery, a professor of English in Angelo State University’s Department of English and Modern Languages, has won first prize in the eighth biennial X.J. Kennedy Award for Creative Nonfiction administered by Rosebud Magazine.
