ASU Still Registering Students for the Fall Semester

August 10, 2011

Prospective Angelo State University students who did not attend a Student Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR) session this summer are still encouraged to register for classes before the fall semester begins Aug. 22.

The Office of Admissions is honoring fall 2011 ASU acceptance letters that prospective students received in the past year. Admissions counselors will work one-on-one with any new students to ensure that their admission materials are complete and that they get registered for classes.

In addition to the Admissions Office’s assistance, ASU’s new Student Support Center is working with students who did not attend SOAR by offering mini-orientation sessions at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. every weekday through Aug. 18. The mini orientations will also continue during the first week of classes, Aug. 22-26. Each orientation lasts about an hour and reservations are not required.

Prospective students who would like to enroll at ASU for the fall semester but have not yet applied for admission to the university still may do so. The Office of Admissions meets on a case-by-case basis with each student to develop an admission file, which includes a $30 application fee and may require copies of transcripts and ACT/SAT test scores.
