ASU Plans Family Day Activities for Sept. 25

September 17, 2010

Angelo State University students’ families are invited to campus on Saturday, Sept. 25, for Family Day 2010 for a variety of activities culminating in the ASU-West Texas A&M football game Saturday night.

Family Day gives families a chance to see ASU’s programs, facilities and student accomplishments and take part in a varied schedule of events beginning at 10 a.m. and running throughout the day.

Highlights of the day include a reception in the Robert Massie Residential Hall lobby, a magic show in Room 100 of the Cavness Science Building, the free “Oasis in Space” program in the newly remodeled ASU Planetarium inside the Vincent Nursing-Physical Science Building, and “A Minute to Win It” game show in the Texan Hall Community Room.

Students and their families are invited to Ram Jam pre-game activities at the LeGrand Alumni and Visitors Center, 1620 University Ave. Entertainment will be provided by the Zack Edwards Band along with free food and activities. A tailgate party will precede the Ram Jam with the Center for Student Involvement sponsoring a concert by musician Anthony Snape.

Free football tickets will be available for students to pick up for their family members in the Houston Harte University Center during the week of Sept. 20-24.
