MA student Anna Arreola presents on Twain, Chesnutt, and Cable
Anna Arreola attended the University of North Texas Critical Voices Conference hosted by the Graduate Students in English Association (GSEA) in Denton, Texas on March 22, 2013. Her presentation paper was titled “Southern Responsibility and Reconciliation in the Fiction of Twain, Chestnutt and Cable.” Via analysis of selected fictional works of these Southern writers, Anna examines the perspectives of the authors concerning the likelihood of a healthy reconciliation between blacks and whites during the Reconstruction era.
