Opera Music Theatre Workshop

Angelo State University’s Department of Visual and Performing Arts will present its semi-annual Opera Music Theatre Workshop program on Friday, April 26, in the Carr Education-Fine Arts (EFA) Building, 2602 Dena Drive.

The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the EFA Building’s Eldon Black Recital Hall and is open free to the public.  Students will perform scenes from “The Marriage of Figaro,” “Cosi fan tutte,” “West Side Story,”“Pirates of Penzance,” “La Bohème,”“Spamalot”and Carlisle Floyd’s “Susannah.”

The Opera Music Theatre Workshop is directed by Janeene Williams, ASU instructor of music.  It offers ASU students the opportunity to gain stage experience while working on scenes and musical numbers taken from operas, operettas and musicals.
