Angelo Iacomini, a native New Yorker, came to Texas planning to retire. A part time job in the rental department at the local hardware store, was supposed to be just that, part time! When the hardware store decided to stop renting equipment, Angelo decided to open his own rental place. Hill Country Hardware & Rental, LLC is a mainstay in the construction business in Junction and the surrounding areas.

Five years later, he has expanded his business to a multi-acre facility. He not only rents big equipment, but also sells portable buildings, custom paint, feed, plumbing and hardware, even bird feeders and seed! The most requested item he sells is STIHL chain saws. ”Junction is located in cedar country. There’s no better saw for this area than the STIHL,” Angelo says.

Angelo has been working with the Small Business Development Center at Angelo State University. “Peggy has helped us for five years. Without her I don’t know what we would have done. She is always pleasant and helpful!” Angelo commented. With the expansion of Hill Country Hardware & Rental to a larger location, Angelo has retained five employees and hired one more, contributing to the economic growth of the Junction area.
