October 16, 2013

Angelo State University’s Multicultural Center will host its first lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) event on Wednesday, Oct. 23, outside the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.

Titled “ASU Pride,” the event will commemorate October as National LGBT History Month by highlighting the history of the LGBT community and its supporters.  Activities will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and are open free to the public in the area between the University Center and the Academic Building.

Educational posters will be on display and keynote speaker Samuel Guerrero of City Lumber and Wholesale will relate his experiences in the local LGBT community.
