ASU Opens Educator Preparation Information Center

October 12, 2010

Angelo State University’s College of Education has opened the Educator Preparation Information (EPI) Center to provide services to students seeking teacher and educator certification.

The EPI Center, located in the Carr Education-Fine Arts Building, Room 287, offers advising and certification services for ASU undergraduates, graduate students and others seeking initial teaching certificates as well as advanced educator certificates.

Undergraduate candidates for admission to the Educator Preparation Program may apply after completing 60 semester credit hours of college course work. Admission to the program is required for students to register in upper-level education classes.

In addition, candidates must meet the requirements of the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) and must demonstrate acceptable teacher behavior during evaluation through teacher dispositions.
