New Energy Management Certificate

January 24, 2014

Angelo State University has introduced a new interdisciplinary Energy Management Certificate administered by the College of Business that is now open to current ASU students and those who already have a two-year or four-year college degree.

The new certificate program is designed to help address the demand for skilled workers in the growing energy services industry.  Students will learn how to develop and implement energy conservation and efficiency projects, programs and policies that reduce operating costs and the impact on the environment.

All students in the nine-credit-hour program must take the Petroleum Land Management course, and the remaining six hours of courses can be selected from specific courses in the College of Business and the College of Arts and Sciences, including courses in geology, agriculture and biology.

For more information, call the College of Business at 325-942-2337 or email Dr. Karen Shumway, College of Business associate dean, at karen.shumway@angelo.edu or Dr. Chuck Pier, chair of the Accounting, Economics and Finance Department, at chuck.pier@angelo.edu.
