ASU Wind Ensemble to Highlight the Four Seasons

The Angelo State University Wind Ensemble will present its fall concert, “A New Take on Four Seasons,” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, in the Johnson Street Church of Christ Fellowship Hall, 2200 S. Johnson St.

The concert is open free to the public and will celebrate the seasons through nature-inspired compositions, including “Morning Alleluias for the Winter Solstice” by Ron Nelson, “The Hounds of Spring” by Alfred Reed, “Franks Red Hot!” by Joe Voye and LaMont Webb, and “October” by Eric Whitacre.

The premier group in the ASU band program, the Wind Ensemble consists of the best instrumentalists on campus. Members represent both the Art and Music Department and other areas of study within the university.
