ASU Art Exhibit to Display Student Work Inspired by Tour of China

Artwork created by Angelo State University students who participated in the 2010 international studies course to the Peoples Republic of China will be on public display in ASU’s Art Gallery Jan. 10-Feb. 4 in the Carr Education-Fine Arts (EFA) Building.

The Art Gallery is located in Room 193 of the EFA Building, 2602 Dena Drive. The exhibit, “Made in China,” will be open for free public viewing from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. A special opening reception will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 19, from 4-5:30 p.m. in the Art Gallery.

The exhibit will feature drawings, paintings, fine art prints, mixed media pieces and artist books/journals inspired by the students’ month-long study of Chinese visual art and culture, and their extensive travel to cultural centers in Hong Kong, Xian, Wudang Mountain and Beijing.
