ASU African Students to Host Culture Event

February 17, 2010

The Angelo State University African Student Association will offer a night of African culture Thursday, Feb. 25, in the C.J. Davidson Conference Center.

“Back to My Roots II” will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will include a fashion show, play, poetry reading, a Jeopardy-style game show of African trivia and a tribute to the Haitian people, recently devastated by a massive earthquake.

A professional dance troupe from Africa made up of college students now based in Abilene will also perform at the event inside the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive. The evening is open free to the public.
