ASU Prof Published in Anthology

June 16, 2014

Dr. Terry Dalrymple, a professor of English in Angelo State University’s Department of English and Modern Languages, has contributed five short stories published in Texas 5 X 5, a new anthology of short stories by Texas writers.

Edited by Laurie Champion, a professor of English at San Diego State University, the anthology features the work of five Texas authors who have written interconnected stories that share characters; a Texas setting, imagery or style; and in some cases, direct plot connections. In addition to Dalrymple, participating authors are Jerry Craven, Andrew Geyer, Jan Seale and Kristin S. vanNamen. The anthology is a publication of Stephen F. Austin State University Press.

Dalrympe is also the author of Fishing for Trouble, a novel for middle readers, and the story collection Salvation and Other Stories. He is the founding editor of ASU’s Concho River Review literary journal and recently edited Texas Soundtrack: Texas Stories Inspired by Texas Songs. A member of the Texas Institute of Letters, he has also published short stories and essays in a variety of journals and magazines.
