June 26, 2014

The 2014 Student Warrior Outdoor Leadership Experience (SWOLE) online registration is now live! Cost: $50

Overview

Student Warrior Outdoor Leadership Experience (SWOLE) is a post-orientation program designed to help transition service members from military life to civilian student life at Angelo State University. It is a four-day outdoor program conducted in central Colorado that includes white-water rafting, rock climbing, and camping. It is intended for student veterans only. Event Dates: August 17-20, 2014

More Information

Due to its great success, SWOLE is back for a second year in a row. SWOLE is designed to build meaningful friendships through purposeful experiences. Van rides and fireside chats provide the perfect opportunities for group members to discuss some of their fears and excitements about student life and some of the differences that may exist.

Angelo State University works with Fort Carson’s MWR, called Adventure Programs and Education (APE) to provide these experiences in Central Colorado. Participants can expect to do some indoor rock climbing at APE’s facilities, white-water rafting on the Arkansas River, and outdoor rock climbing.
