March 22, 2010

Gateway Brass, an ensemble of the United States Air Force Band of the West, will present a concert on Wednesday, March 31, in the Eldon U. Black Recital Hall inside the Carr Education-Fine Arts Building, 2602 Dena Drive, on the Angelo State University campus.

The 7:30 p.m. concert, which is sponsored by the ASU Art and Music Department, is open free to the public and will feature musicians with many years of professional experience with symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, touring shows and popular artists.

The ensemble’s repertoire spans five centuries and is featured during more than 100 performances a year, including military ceremonies, educational clinics and community concerts in Texas, Louisiana, Arizona and New Mexico.

Gateway Brass has been featured at the New York Brass Conference and Boston University’s Tanglewood Music Center.
