ASU Club Café to Host Stand-Up Comic

October 21, 2011

Stand-up comedian Pete Lee will be the featured performer for Angelo State University’s Club Café coffeehouse entertainment series on Wednesday, April 28, in the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.

Lee will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. in the University Center’s C.J. Davidson Conference Center. Admission is $1 and audience members will receive free Club Café coffee mugs. Coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate, cookies, brownies and other refreshments will be served.

A self-described “total momma’s boy,” Lee sees himself “about as tough as fire on a floating candle.” He combines his underdog perspective with cutting punch lines to make himself the object of his own jokes.

Lee made his television debut on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend,” and since has performed at the Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival. He enjoys regular play on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio and regularly guests on the Bob and Tom radio show.

A semifinalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, he will film his own Comedy Central Presents special in August.
