“I am so glad that the SBDC program is at Angelo State University.  Peggy has been a blessing and great help with the financing and projections to help me get my loan.  I look forward to her coming to Mason and meeting with me as I grow my company,” current owner of Joy’s of the Southwest, Kyla Rasch stated.

Kyla Rasch requested assistance from the ASU SBDC program when she decided to purchase her mother-in-law’s business, Joy’s of the Southwest.  Kyla’s mother-in-law ran her online business from her home in Colorado.  Kyla wanted to move it to Mason.  Since the “store” was virtual, all Kyla needed was the capital to purchase the business and move the inventory and operations to Mason.

Working on projections with Peggy enabled Kyla to approach Mason Bank and secure a loan through bank lender, Jay Tedder.  The business sells spicy jams and salsas.  Re-locating the business to Mason created one job which contributes to the economic base of the area.
