Recreation Aid, NF-1 (Bowling Center)
Operates the control desk, collects fees, sells pro shop and counter merchandise. Ensures that the counter merchandise is stocked and available. Conducts inventories. Ensures that spectator area and scores tables are kept clean and orderly, that inside and outside areas are properly policed. Secures the safe and building upon closing. Ensures that unauthorized personnel do not enter the areas behind the setter equipment and sales counter. Calls Security Forces in case of disturbances. Prepares a report, for the manager, of any incident. Monitors league play, ensures that lanes are clear and cleaned before league play. Ensures that customers are treated in a courteous manner and given assistance. Ensures that equipment is not abused and that house balls and shoes are not removed from the Bowling Center. Clears minor pin-spotter problems such as ball calls and pin jams. Complies with Federal and State Dram-Shop statutes. Performs other duties as assigned.
Practical knowledge of bowling activities, rules and procedures is desirable, but not required. Knowledge of cash register operating is desirable, but not required. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate. Must meet the minimum age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages. Subject to satisfactory completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
