Hello! My name is Nicole Stevens! I am a graduate assistant, and I am pursuing my master’s degree in English Literature. I graduated with my B.A. in English in May 2013. I like to focus on nineteenth-century authors who deal with feminism and gender studies. This year I have the wonderful opportunity of doing a grant research project on Charlotte Perkins Gilman – a progressive author who challenged the societal gender imbalances that existed in her time. After I receive my M.A., I hope to teach college classes, inspiring others to discover the power contained in the written word.
When I am not busy working, reading, or writing, I keep very busy with my husband and three children. There is always a band performance to watch, a softball game to help with, or a scout patch to work on. When I actually get a moment to veg on the couch, I like to watch sappy movies.
