About the Contest
How do you connect?
The Connect! Campus to Community Student Video Contest seeks to learn more about your community involvement projects. We want to see what motivates you to reach out and lend a hand.
Show us how you connect to your community.
Just submit a copy of your video and you could win big.
- First Place - Kindle Fire
- Second Place - Apple TV
- Third Place - iPod Nano
What do you mean by “community involvement”?
We mean anything and everything you do to contribute to the community around you. We define community as anything beyond the Angelo State University campus, so that can mean the San Angelo community, your hometown community, or a study abroad location where you helped out, among other options. The concept is open to your interpretation.
However, videos that include anything illegal or obscene will not be considered.
Who is eligible?
Anyone who is currently a full- or part-time student at Angelo State University is eligible to submit a video. Students must be in good standing with the university and should follow student conduct requirements as outlined in the ASU Student Handbook.
How do I enter?
- Create a 30-second to two-minute video showing us your school spirit.
- Upload your video to YouTube before noon on Oct. 5. Create a YouTube account if you don’t already have one.
- Fill out and submit the contest entry form.
- Tell your friends! We want as much student participation as possible.
Having trouble uploading your video? Visit the YouTube Help Center.
Make sure you read the official Rules and Regulations before you enter.
Do I have to make my video individually?
You are allowed to create a video as a group or as an individual.
How do I win?
The student body will vote on the winners in an e-mail ballot. Finalists will be notified via the e-mail address they provided in their online entry forms, and winners will be announced to the campus.
