I Am ASU Contest Details
From the music student performing in the jazz ensemble and the agriculture student conducting range and wildlife management research to the track and field student-athlete and the nontraditional commuter student, we are all ASU. It takes all of us to make the university a success. Show us your interpretation of “I am ASU.” Just upload a video and you could win.
What do you mean by “I am ASU”?
Anything and everything. Show us how you embody ASU. Maybe you have a lot of school spirit, or you want to show us how ASU has helped you. You can also show us why you love being a student at ASU. The concept is open to your interpretation, just remember to say or show “I am ASU” somewhere in your video.
However, videos that include anything illegal or obscene will not be considered. Videos should also contain positive messages.
Who is eligible?
Anyone who is currently a full- or part-time student at Angelo State University is eligible to submit a video.
How do I enter?
- Create a one- to two-minute video showing us your interpretation of "I am ASU." Somewhere in the video, say or show the words “I am ASU.”
- Upload your video to YouTube before Oct. 1, 2010. (If you don’t have a YouTube account, create one here.)
- Fill out and submit the contest entry form.
- Tell your friends! We want as much student participation — through video entries and voting ballots — as possible.

Do I have to make my video individually?
You are allowed to create a video as a group or as an individual. If you create a video as a group, it will be up to you to divide any prize winnings among participants. Just make sure you say or show “I am ASU” or “we are ASU” somewhere in the video.
How do I win?
The student body will vote on the winners beginning on Oct. 1. Finalists will be notified via the e-mail address they provided in their online entry forms, and winners will be announced to the campus.
